Overview

Featuring a twin rotor coreless direct drive motor and a four layer anti vibration cabinet, this 18kg turntable ensures ultra smooth playback. Gold accents and a gold magnesium tonearm make it an exceptional center piece for any audiophile sound system setup.

The Technics SL 1200GME Master Edition manual direct drive turntables feature a precision motor drive and a very rigid, vibration dampening construction. The coreless twin rotor motor has no cogging and produces 0.32 Nm of starting torque to get up to 33 1/3 rpm in 0.7 seconds. The available speeds are 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. The motor control is via a Delta Sigma Drive which works by moving the PWM carrier frequency above 20kHz to reduce the micro vibrations and acoustic noise of operation. The power supply is a low noise, low voltage layout.

Structural stability is derived from a four layer cabinet (topping aluminium die cast, BMC and heavyweight rubber) with a 10mm thick brushed aluminium top panel. The 3.6kg 332mm platter is a three layer construction (brass and aluminium die cast) with rear dampening rubber. Each platter is individually factory balanced using high precision gear. Zinc insulators filled with αGEL absorb the incoming shelf movement and the unit sits on an 18kg chassis which is designed to isolate the critical playback components in any high end system.

A gold painted magnesium tonearm providing lightweight tracking with high initial motion sensitivity via gimbal suspension bearings. 230mm effective length, 15mm overhang and adjustable height (0 to 6mm). Audio via standard PHONO pin jacks with a separate earth. Limited edition with gold painted logo and serial plate. Fully compatible with custom builds and AV solutions.
