Overview

ONE OF A KIND HEADPHONES

Just like fingerprints, wood grain is as unique, thus making each pair of Meze Headphone a one of a kind. You will love how they feel in your hands. Sturdy built and precise assembly. The ear cups are made with a satin-finished wood grain. Put them on, sit back, and enjoy your favorite sound of plucked strings, upbeat grooves or thumping beats while still looking classy.

PREMIUM SOUND DESIGNED FOR THOSE WHO KNOW

We're taking headphone design to a new level by combining modern with handcrafted design, using natural materials and focusing on delivering the best premium sound

WOOD TECHNOLOGY

The choice of wood is an inherently difficult one. The rich colors of walnut require the use of air drying, a long and expensive procedure. The process of shaping just a single pair of earcups takes up to 8 hours. The whole process of sanding, lacquering, and finishing lasts 45 days. The wooden components are carefully inspected and no flaws are permitted to reach the final assembly.

Sweet headphone

I purchased these as my first entry level $300.00 US. for home use.
I have a pair or Bowers & Wilkens P3's I thought were really nice sounding then I plugged in and tuned out with my new Meze Audio 99 Classics. I'm still picking up pieces of my brain.
WOW!!! I'm trying them now with my computer connected with an AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt and "Jean Claude Van Dame" they sound even better!!! I stream Tidal and Qobuz, Spotify and the 99 Classic just push the bass nice and clear. I havent tried some classic rock yet.

The Wood is Good

Look, I have a pair of nice Grado's. So I know the wood is good for the sound. These are closed back. So the base is amazing. Your hip hop and reggae enjoyment will go to new levels. These give you performance of cans that should cost 2x as much. You won't get a better pair for the price, especially for base heavy music. The Grado's are better for the rock and classic country. Get both. Have fun, you live once.

Great Headphone For The Price

I have owned the 99 Classics for a while and truly love them. I saw these 99 Neo’s on open box with an additional 10% off and could not pass them up. There are two difference between the 99 Classics and the 99 Neo’s. The Neo’s have a shorter cord and they have plastic ear cups instead of the wood ones of the 99 Classics. Other than that, I cannot tell a sound or comfort difference between them. Both models are just great listening headphones. Are there better sounding headphones on the market? Sure, but you will spend a ton more money to get minor sound improvements. Many of the better sounding headphones are not as comfortable. I hardly notice these are on when listening for hours. For the price $309 for the 99 Classics and $199 for the 99 Neo’s, you will be very happy with the value, comfort, and sound for the money. I highly recommend either model!
