Great Sound, Terrible App

This might be the best soundbar on the market. It won't replace a full home theater surround system but for a second system, game room, den, etc. it provides much better sound than pretty much any TV on the market. Better, tighter bass. Clearer dialogue. Music that sounds like music. If you're looking for something clearly a step above the 'theater in a box' system or the discount store soundbar, this is it!! It's well-built, solid and looks good. Performance is beyond any other soundbar I've heard.

We ran optical digital cable from the TV into the soundbar. We control the soundbar volume from the Sony TV remote. Very simple and clean. Set it and forget it.

The only complaint I have is that the associated app seems to want to default to the soundbar amongst all of the bluesound devices in my home. Even if I'm routinely using one of the devices almost all the time, when I pick up my phone or ipad it's almost always changed the default device to the soundbar. I don't even want to see the soundbar on the list because I never need to change it. Instead, I often end up streaming music through it by mistake because the Bluesound app decides on its own that I want to control the soundbar. Not the end of the world but it is annoying.
