Multimedia powerhouse

I've had the DRX 5.4 for going on 3 years now and I'm still so happy with it. It powers Paradigm premier 800f towers, 600c center, 200b bookshelf's, 4 KEF in ceiling speakers, and 2 SVS SB1000 subs for my home theater and 2 Paradigm SE Atoms for zone 2 music and there has never been any scene from any movie at any volume where the DRX 5.4 seemed tired at all. The Dirac live does such an amazing job calibrating for the room, I don't need the optional $300 upgraded license. The Integra effortlessly fills the room with powerful, accurate sound.

The Integra also excels with music, I am often floored with how accurate the sound is, and the start stop nuance is so natural and organic sounding, I know the Paradigms have a lot to do with that, but the receiver is driving them so it deserves good credit. I have used Tidal and Amazon for their lossless audio selection, I compared directly with a Marantz SR5013 which I was previously using exclusively for music because how great it handles it, and the Integra beat it out, I was very surprised because I consider Marantz one of the best out there for music. The Integra's sound just sounded more powerful, but so soft when it needed to be.

The video quality is 2nd to none, HDR, Dolby Vision both look incredible, SDR content looks crisp and accurate. There are plenty of HDMI inputs, and the use of eARC essentially gives more through the TV. I have a Xbox series X going through the TV and to the Integra via eARC and it has been flawless, no problems that plagued ARC back in the day. Im using eARC because the latency is lower going directly to the TV instead of through the receiver.

I really see no cons to this receiver, I'm sure people looking for cons will find them, but for me I really enjoy this receiver and I cant recommend it enough to anyone.

This a fantastic unit with high end sound

The only real hitch is remembering to update the firmware first!
The 9 step Dirac setup took me 1 hour > It's not really that hard - but be careful with having to high an output level, and with Mic placement
The unit passes every test. The only nit-picky change I would make is the Phono pre-amp. It's fair for MM cartridges and has no MC option. My old Parasound phono preamp has both, so isn't an issue for me.
The sound on movies and music is magical. My lower impedance SVS Ultra center channel woke up with this unit.

Audio Advice has been very helpful to me.
